Congratulations to the Florida Lactation Consultant Association on your 2020 Outstanding Chapter Award!
“As a long-time Chapter of USLCA, the Florida Lactation Consultant Association was selected for its dedication to the promotion of breastfeeding, as well as the support it provides its chapter members. In the past year, FLCA has awarded multiple scholarships to help members cover the cost of recertification, and it has provided multiple grants to members for outreach efforts and World Breastfeeding Week activities. FLCA has also created a text messaging system to communicate with chapter members more efficiently. USLCA is proud to have such a dedicated and supportive chapter!” |

501(c)(6): A 501(c)(6) membership-based nonprofit is an organization that exists to promote its members' business interests, without the goal of making a profit. In addition, these organizations must make sure that no one individual or shareholder benefits financially from the organization's income. While charitable nonprofits must serve a public good and be supported by the public, a trade association and similar organizations do not have to serve the public good.
