June Winfield Education Stipend
Goal
Recognize FLCA members who provide free community breastfeeding education and support.
Objectives
1. Create a climate among FLCA members to encourage the promotion, support, and protection of breastfeeding throughout Florida.
2. Support uncompensated efforts of FLCA members providing community breastfeeding education through monetary stipends.
Criteria
1. Current FLCA members may each submit one application per calendar year.
2. Applicant will present a minimum one-hour breastfeeding class, talk, or presentation to an organization, club, church, school, or business. No monetary or gift-in-kind compensation can be received for the presentation.
3. Breastfeeding presentation must take place between January 1 and December 31 of the prior year.
4. Applications must be received on or before January 15 for the presentation presented in the previous calendar year.
Procedure
1. Complete this application and submit before the deadline of January 15.
2. FLCA Executive Board (or designate) will review applications in February of each year and award a maximum of 5 awards of $50.00 each.

IBCLC DAY Celebration Grant

To promote IBCLCs, FLCA and mentor future IBCLCs during IBCLC day celebration in March .

2. Explain the IBCLC designation and paths to the exam.
3. Mentor the next generation of lactation support toward IBCLC credential.
Criteria
1. Current FLCA members may each submit one application per calendar year.
2. Applications must be received by the FLCA Grant Reviewer on or before February 15th.
3. Applicant will provide a written summary of activity, copy of material used, and photo by 15 April in order to eligible for future IBCLC day grant. Recipients of the grant will be sent the form to complete with instructions to submit the information on the activity.

IBCLC Exam Scholarships (4 at $300 each)
(If more than 4 qualified applicants apply then names will be drawn by lottery)
Deadline for application: June 15 or December 15
The requirements are:
Be a current member
Be a member for at least 12 months prior to sitting for the exam (24 months is recertifying by exam)
Taking the exam for the first time (or rectifying by exam)
Submit an application.
Submitting copy of the notification that you passed the exam. Application can be submitted prior to receiving notification.
(If more than 4 qualified applicants apply then names will be drawn by lottery)
